Ballscrews

A ball screw (or ballscrew) is a mechanical linear actuator that translates rotational motion into linear motion with minimal friction. It consists of a threaded shaft that provides a helical raceway for ball bearings, which act as a precision screw. These ball screws can withstand high thrust loads and offer excellent precision due to their close tolerances. Unlike conventional leadscrews, ball screws are bulkier because they require a mechanism to recirculate the balls.
